In the information age the aim of any intelligent person is not to gather information but to sort through the abundance of information they are presented. At the Association for Liberty Minded Americans (ALMA), we hope to help individuals discern the truth from the affront of distorted news they are given each day. Our aim is to give direction to those who find themselves lost in the tumult.
We hope to foster a community of individuals who will join us in the reclamation of our ideals. Individuals who will discuss in an open and civil manner the issues that deter us from our aims. Individuals who will take the responsibility not only to live in their fullest liberty but to set the path for others who wish to know the way. We celebrate the virtues and values which lead each person to their potentials and we seek to reawaken the desire of the people to live with these virtues.
The daily assault on individual rights, our liberty, worsens each day. It becomes the responsibility of the individual to become involved in their destiny. Will the future belong to the authoritarian ideals of those who still believe in governments or will it belong to freedom, to every man, woman, and child who wants for freedom?
Through discussion of ideals, we help each other create a more perfect vision of what a life of liberty can mean. At ALMA we wish to support the voices that so often become lost in the noise of the crowd. We support the ideas of the common person and open their ideas to communication and community. In this way we can begin the journey away from the old myths of governments and politics, toward a new future where we can be truly free. And you, our community, and those who strive for liberty will join the journey during one of liberty's most crucial times.
